Gala Concert Ostrava

On May 19 Ferruccio Furlanetto sang Gala Concert in Ostarava during the Janacek May Festival with tremendous success. His program included 10 arias from different operas representing his wide repertoire, and different angles of his artistic personality.

The first half of the concert included three Mozart arias: Sarastro's "In diesen heiligen Hallen" from “The Magic Flute” recitative and aria of Count Almaviva from Act 3 of “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Catalog aria of Leporello from “Don Giovanni”, Bellini’s beautiful Rodolpho's aria "Vi ravviso o luoghi ameni" and “Death of Don Quichotte” from Massenet. After intermission Ferruccio Furlanetto presented his famous Verdi caracters: Fiesco and King Philip. The concert, interrupted by ovations after each aria ended with “Death of Boris” from Mussorgsky opera. After that everybody was on their feet. But generously the singer performed two more pieces: Silva aria from “Ernani” and Gremin aria from “Eugeny Onegin”. Ferruccio Furlanetto was accompanied by Opera Orchestra of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre under the lead of Robert Jindra.

Gala concert was part of Janacek May Festival. Day before Ferruccio Furlanetto had a pubic talk with the questions from the audience (video available). He will return to Czech Republic on December with recital in Rudolfinum Prague. His next aria Gala-concert will be at Valladolid (Spain) on July, 6.
